Another reason to continue touring in Pinar del Rio is the tobacco, visiting the land of San Juan y Martinez, knowing like the best tobacco land in the world, a unique combination of weather, land and the know how that allow to produce the finest cigars in the world.. In just 45 minutes driving from Vinales town and 3 hours from Havana you’ll get to the land that enchanted the first Europeans who came to our country.

The tour program includes the different stages and processes of tobacco in Cuba, its culture, traditions and ways of harvesting:

• Visit to tobacco factory “Francisco Donatien” where some of Pinar del Rio finest cigars are made, among them Trinidad and Vegueros.
• Visit to Despalillo (rip out the central veins of tobacco leaves) where the tobacco leaves are fermented and selected according to their quality, size and texture.
• Visit to Humidor workshop: “DeCuba Arte en Madera”, a unique possibility to see whole process of making the humidors which guarantee the aroma and flavors of cigar.
• Visit to Vega Quemado de Rubi, farm which belongs to Hector Luis Prieto, the youngest hombre Habano in the world, where you see the cigar hand rolled by experts and all the processes related to the tobacco harvesting in this farm.
• Taste a traditional cigar made by a master blender.
• Lunch and cocktail included in a tobacco farm.
• Local and private guided in English, French or Spanish.
